My name is Marian Dumitru, and I designed this training to be a powerful and energetic workout that includes kicking and punching drills, a set of stretching and cardio exercises, movements that will raise your heart rate, improve coordination, and increase muscular fitness. I combined techniques from karate, boxing, military training, and stunts to teach agility through mobility and motion skills. This workout is suitable for anyone looking to develop physical fitness, burn calories, and learn self-defense techniques step by step.
Training Progression for Beginners
If you’re new to exercise, your body will need about three weeks to synchronize neuromuscular coordination and adjust joint positioning for learning each movement pattern. The best way to learn quickly is by focusing on the commands and following the explanations before each movement.
Instead of matching the rhythm with the more experienced participants, start by performing fewer repetitions and at a slower pace until your body adapts. After three weeks, you’ll start to feel the physical improvements as your body makes anatomical adjustments.
Warm-ups prepare your body for physical activity and help prevent injury. As soon as you start moving, your body temperature increases, improving the flexibility of muscles and tendons. This leads to greater efficiency and safety during the workout.
For more complex exercises involving technique, speed, and power, these will take around three times longer to perfect.
A proper warm-up should take 10 to 15 minutes and includes basic stretching, dynamic exercises, and activities to raise the heart rate and prepare the body for more complex movements.
Breathing is crucial during the warm-up and throughout the entire workout. Proper breath control increases blood flow to the brain, improves alertness, opens the airways, and boosts aerobic capacity. Inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth. The key is to find your personal rhythm with breathing to enhance physical performance.
